Woodbury is a small incorporated city in Meriwether County, Georgia, located in the rolling farm country of the state's west-central Piedmont. Its population was 908 at the 2020 census. The community traces its origins to a mid-nineteenth-century village settlement, and it grew more substantially after the arrival of the Georgia Midland and Gulf Railroad in 1887, which connected the town to the region's larger markets and gave it a lasting railroad-town identity.
